Data Sources & Methodology
Every statistic on this site is sourced from an identifiable institution. This page lists the 18 primary references we cite — 9 official / primary sources (government agencies, central bank, exchanges) and the remainder secondary research, industry associations, and international institutions.
How we use these sources
- Official figures first. For market size, transaction volumes, and regulatory facts, we cite Vietnamese government bodies, the State Bank, or sector regulators directly.
- Triangulation second. For market-share and growth estimates that no single official source publishes, we triangulate across industry associations (VECOM), international research (World Bank, ADB), and reputable private research (NielsenIQ, Kantar, Google–Temasek–Bain).
- No proprietary claims. We do not generate or sell original survey data. Anything labeled as a number on this site can be traced back to a public source listed below.
- Year-pinned figures. Statistics on each topic page are dated; values are refreshed annually during the quarterly review cycle.
